Welcome

The Mississippi Council on Economic Education (MCEE) is a non-profit, non-partisan, educational organization founded to promote economic literacy in Mississippi.  The MCEE's mission is to meet the critical need of insuring that the K-12 schools and teachers in Mississippi provide quality instruction in economics and personal finance to our young people, that is academically sound and non-partisan.  The MCEE provides resources and training to public and private K-12 teachers in Mississippi, empowering educators to teach their students how economics relates to their lives as a worker, citizen and consumer.

Virtual Economics

What is it?

The Virtual Economics®: Version 3.0 CD-ROM is an interactive tool that helps you understand the most important concepts in economics and personal finance and find the right lessons to teach them at your grade level. The CD-ROM allows you to search a database of over 1,200 lessons by grade level, concept, Voluntary National Content Standard in Economics or Mississippi ’s state economics standards. Then view and print the lessons you want. The CD-ROM also contains multimedia explanations for 51 key economic concepts and a glossary with over 500 economics terms and definitions.

The CD is valued at $99 but thanks to a generous grant from State Farm Insurance, the Mississippi Council on Economic Education is able to provide this invaluable tool at no cost to you.
