Danny Dollar Academy

The Mississippi Council on Economic Education (MCEE) will implement the Danny Dollar program through a flexible, community-centered delivery model designed to maximize reach and impact. Programs may be delivered by training after-school or community educators through a “train-the-trainer” approach or by providing direct instruction to groups of students in after-school and out-of-school settings. MCEE will partner with trusted local organizations—including schools, community centers, and churches—to ensure accessibility for students in low-income communities. The program is structured in 4–8 engaging sessions, and each participating child receives their own copy of the Danny Dollar book to reinforce learning at home. This funding is specifically intended to expand access to high-quality financial literacy education for students from low-income families, equipping them with essential skills for future success.
